Honestly, when I first pulled up to this place on impasse Ordan, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – the address makes it sound more residential than resort-y, and you know what? That’s actually part of its charm. This 2-bedroom spot sits right in the Pointe Croisette area, which means you’re literally a five-minute walk from all the Cannes craziness, but tucked away enough that you won’t hear every reveler stumbling home at 3 AM.

The terrace is where this place really shines, I mean, it’s not enormous, but it catches the morning sun perfectly and the pool – well, it’s more of a generous plunge pool than something you’d do laps in, but after walking around Cannes all day, it’s exactly what you need. The whole setup feels like staying at a friend’s place rather than a hotel, which some people love and others might find a bit too casual. The bedrooms are decent sized (French standards, so don’t expect American sprawl), and there’s actually enough closet space, which surprised me. The kitchen is functional – you could definitely make breakfast or throw together a simple dinner if you wanted to save some euros instead of eating out every meal.

What I really appreciated was how easy it is to slip into local life from here. There’s a little bakery about two blocks down that the locals hit up every morning, and you’re close enough to the Marché Forville that you can actually shop for fresh stuff without it being a whole expedition. The beach access is pretty straightforward too – you’ll walk past some gorgeous residential streets that most tourists never see because they’re stuck on the main drags. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to the French Riviera), but the owners seem to have that sorted with a designated spot, which honestly saves you a ton of headache and probably fifty euros a day. The whole area gets pretty quiet in the evenings, which I found perfect for unwinding, though if you’re looking for that constant buzz of hotel amenities and concierge service, this might feel a bit too independent. It’s definitely more suited for people who want to experience Cannes like a temporary resident rather than a tourist checking boxes off a list.

  The location suited us. It was away from the main activity but accessible if we wanted it. Lovely apartment that was extremely well equipped.
  
  Easy access to beaches and water sports. Promenade was walking distance. Free bus service that we never got to use.
  
  Pizza Jean is only a couple of minutes away. Sorry we only got to try it on the last night.
  
  What could be improved: Very little to complain about. We could have done with an extra couple of sheets for the fold down bed.
  
  We were lucky that we were on the ground floor as the lift wasn't working for the last 3 – 4 days that we were there.
  
  Booking through the agents I found that I received a huge amount of emails. Even though I had filled out required forms for arrival and departure, I had to do them again.

  What could be improved: Utrolig mørk lejlighed, hvor man måtte have elektrisk lys tændt hele dagen for at kunne se. Millioner af myg, der kredsede om én hele tiden og stak hæmningsløst.
