Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place on Rue Saint-Honoré – it’s one of those Cannes finds that doesn’t scream luxury but actually gets the job done really well. The 64m2 face Majestic caught my attention because, well, you’re literally looking at the Majestic hotel from your window, and honestly? That’s kind of brilliant. You get those million-dollar views without the million-dollar price tag.

The location is what sold me completely. I mean, you’re right in the thick of Cannes city center, maybe a two-minute walk to the Palais des Festivals – I actually timed it because I’m weird like that. The beaches are close enough that you can hear the Mediterranean if you open your windows at night, which is either romantic or slightly annoying depending on how tired you are. What I really appreciated was being on Saint-Honoré street itself – it’s busy enough to feel alive but doesn’t get the crazy party crowds that hit the Croisette after midnight. The building has that typical French apartment feel, sort of like staying in someone’s nicely renovated flat rather than a sterile hotel room.

You know what impressed me most? The space actually feels like 64 square meters, which isn’t always the case with European listings (we’ve all been burned by “cozy” descriptions). The setup works well if you’re planning to spend your days out exploring – there’s enough room to spread out your stuff and plan your day without feeling cramped. Check-in was refreshingly simple, none of that overblown concierge theater you get at the big places. The 7.5 rating feels about right to me – it’s solid, clean, well-positioned, but it’s not going to wow you with fancy amenities or designer everything. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area, though I found street spots if I was patient (or lucky). The morning light coming in is gorgeous, especially if you snag a room actually facing the Majestic – you get this whole golden hour thing happening that makes your Instagram stories look effortlessly French. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re living in Cannes rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.

  Air conditioning worked well.
  
  What could be improved: The unit was extremely dirty, the headboard of the bed was stained, stains on the rugs, etc. We ended up having to get a hotel because we were not provided with a crib (we checked with the host prior to booking but they provided a pack and play which is fine for older babies but not for infants). The host was rude and would not allow us to cancel the remaining nights of our stay. AVOID!
