You know what struck me first about 8 Rue Du Marché Forville? The location is absolutely perfect if you want to feel like you’re actually living in Cannes rather than just visiting. I mean, you’re literally steps from the Forville Market – and I’m talking about the real deal here, not some tourist trap. The morning sounds of vendors setting up their stalls become your natural alarm clock, which honestly isn’t a bad way to wake up when you catch the aroma of fresh herbs and those incredible Provençal tomatoes drifting through your windows.

The apartment itself (because that’s really what this is – a proper apartment experience through Halldis) feels refreshingly unhotel-like. The space has character, you know? It’s got that lived-in French charm without being shabby, and the kitchen is actually functional – something you can’t say about most hotel kitchenettes. I found myself making coffee there every morning instead of hunting for cafés, though honestly, Café de la Poste is right around the corner if you want to people-watch with the locals. The neighborhood gets busy during market hours (Tuesday through Sunday mornings), but it settles into this lovely residential calm by afternoon. Parking can be a bit tricky – there’s no dedicated spot, so you’ll want to get familiar with the local street parking rules, but that’s pretty standard for this part of Cannes.

What really sets this place apart is how it puts you in the heart of actual Cannes life. You’re a five-minute walk from the Palais des Festivals, sure, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by the places locals actually go. The fishmonger at the market will remember your face after a couple days, and there’s this tiny wine shop – Cave Forville – where the owner will talk your ear off about regional bottles if you let him. The apartment building itself is quiet (thick walls, thank goodness), and the whole area has this authentic French residential feel that you just can’t get staying on the Croisette. It’s not fancy in a flashy way, but it’s genuinely comfortable and well-maintained. Perfect if you want to experience Cannes like someone who actually lives there rather than just passing through with a camera.

  New and very beautiful apartment tastefully furnished and decorated with perfect location opposite of the food market Forville. Various shops, restaurants and the beach are also very close. We were 4 adults and 1 child, there is enough space for all of us. We spent in total 3 nights in this apartment. The host of the apartment is very responsive, it was always immediate reaction to our questions and requests and could communicate in English very well. We will certainly come again to this apartment in Cannes!
