When you’re staying in Cannes, you’d expect constant hustle and bustle, but this little corner feels like you’ve discovered some local secret – which, honestly, you kind of have.

The apartment itself is pretty solid for what you’re paying. It’s got that classic French apartment vibe going on (you know, the kind where the windows actually open properly and let in actual fresh air), and the owner clearly put some thought into making it functional for travelers. I appreciated the kitchen setup because let’s be real, eating out every meal in Cannes will demolish your budget faster than you can say “Croisette.” The whole place feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I actually prefer – there’s something about staying somewhere that feels like a real home rather than a hotel room that’s been sanitized to death.

Here’s the thing about the location that booking sites won’t tell you: yes, you’re about a 15-minute walk to the main action, but that walk takes you through some genuinely lovely residential streets where you’ll see how actual Cannes residents live. Plus, you’re way closer to the Croix des Gardes area, which has some fantastic hiking trails if you’re into that sort of thing. The neighborhood has a couple of small cafés and a bakery that locals actually use – I grabbed coffee there most mornings and it felt infinitely more authentic than the tourist traps down by the port. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to the French Riviera), but the area isn’t as impossible as the city center. The building itself is typically French – meaning the hallways are a bit dark and the elevator is, well, let’s call it “charming” – but once you’re inside the apartment, it’s perfectly comfortable. I’d say the 7 rating is pretty fair; it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re the type who wants to be in the thick of things at all hours, this might feel too removed, but if you appreciate having a proper base to return to after dealing with Cannes’ summer crowds, this spot really works.

  What could be improved: В помешканні не працює кондиціонер. Це жахливо, господарі вдавали, що він тільки зламався, але я думаю він не працює давно. Нам два дні обіцяли відремонтувати, а потім сказали, що кондиціонер ремонту не підлягає. Досить важко спати в квартирі при температурі +35 градусів.
  Також потрібно враховувати, що помешкання досить далеко від пляжу 1,3 км. Проте сама квартира досить чиста. Посуду та побутової техніки достатньо.
