Apartment Cannes Bay-2 by Interhome
You know what struck me first about this place? It’s actually tucked away on Pointe Croisette in a way that feels surprisingly residential for being so close to all the Cannes madness. I mean, you’re literally a stone’s throw from the Boulevard de la Croisette – that famous palm-lined stretch everyone talks about – but the apartment sits in this quieter pocket where you can actually hear yourself think.
The building itself is pretty standard French Riviera fare, nothing too flashy, which honestly works in its favor. It’s got that lived-in feeling that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re crashing at a friend’s place for the week. The apartment is spacious enough that you’re not tripping over your suitcase every five minutes, and there’s this little balcony where I’d sit with my morning coffee watching the locals head off to work. The kitchen is actually functional – I know that sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many vacation rentals have kitchens that are basically for show. Here you can legitimately cook a proper meal, which saved me a fortune since eating out in Cannes every night would’ve bankrupted me.
Location-wise, it’s sort of perfect for people who want to be in the mix but not drowning in it. Walk ten minutes toward the water and you’re right in the thick of the designer shops and beach clubs along La Croisette. But honestly, some of my favorite discoveries happened just wandering the residential streets around the apartment – there’s this little boulangerie on Rue d’Antibes that locals line up at every morning, and a wine shop where the owner actually remembers what you bought last time. The beach access is decent too, though like everywhere in Cannes, the good spots fill up fast during festival season. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare if you’re driving, but that’s pretty much true anywhere in this part of town – just factor in some extra time and maybe a few choice French words.
The 7.8 rating feels about right to me. It’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but everything works, it’s clean, and the Interhome management was surprisingly responsive when I had a question about the WiFi. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with it all night, and the shower actually had decent water pressure – again, not glamorous, but these things matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. I’d definitely stay here again, especially during the quieter months when Cannes feels more like a actual French town and less like a movie set.
