Beautiful 28m2 studio with balcony

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from a 28-square-meter studio – I mean, that’s pretty compact – but this little place on rue du maréchal des logis Jules Fellegara really surprised me. The balcony is what sold me initially (and probably what’ll sell you too), because you get this nice slice of Cannes life without the crazy tourist prices of staying right on the Croisette. The Prado-République area is sort of this sweet spot where actual people live, you know? You’ll hear more French conversations than English ones, which I actually loved.

The studio itself is cleverly laid out – whoever designed it really thought about how to make a small space work. The bed doesn’t dominate the room like in some cramped places I’ve stayed, and there’s actually room to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. What I really appreciated was the balcony in the mornings – you can sit out there with coffee and watch the neighborhood wake up. There’s this little bakery just down the street where locals queue up for their morning bread, and honestly, following their lead was one of the best decisions I made. The area gets pretty quiet at night too, which was perfect after long days exploring Cannes.

Here’s the thing about this location that booking sites don’t really capture – you’re about a 15-minute walk to the beach and the main action, but that walk takes you through some really charming residential streets. I found myself taking different routes just to see more of the neighborhood. There’s decent parking nearby (not always guaranteed in Cannes, trust me), and the building itself feels secure and well-maintained. The 8.7 rating makes sense to me because while it’s not luxury, everything works properly and the place feels cared for. You know what really impressed me? The little touches – good lighting, decent water pressure, a balcony table that’s actually big enough to eat at. For a 3-star place, it punches above its weight. If you’re looking for something authentic rather than touristy, and you don’t mind being slightly away from the main hotel strip, this studio gives you a genuine taste of living in Cannes rather than just visiting it.

  The apartment is spacious and gets wonderful light. It was neat and clean, with lovely little extras. It also has a really nice balcony, and has all the necessary facilities and amenities for a comfortable stay. The host is great with communication, and gave clear, easy instructions regarding the check-in process. I loved the fact that it has a lift for my luggage!
  
  What could be improved: I attended the Cannes Lions Festival, so the apartment was just a little bit of a far walk (about 20 minutes) daily as it's more towards the outskirts of the city centre. But not really too much of a trainsmash.

  Graziosissimo monolocale nel quartiere residenziale Repubblica, arredato con gusto, dotato di aria condizionata, wi-fi, tutto il necessario per cucinare, lavastoviglie, lavatrice, e persino due frigoriferi! Quinto piano con ascensore, splendida terrazza dotata di due chaise longue e tavolino per rilassarsi guardando le montagne, nonché di tavolo per mangiare. Centro e stazione a 15 minuti a piedi, Croisette con relative spiagge a 20, supermercati a 5-10. Un ringraziamento particolare a Nadia, che gestisce l'appartamento, che è stata gentilissima e disponibilissima, aiutandomi con ogni mia richiesta. Un'ottima sistemazione a un prezzo ragionevole che raccomando vivamente!
