Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to 11 Rue du Général Ferrié – it’s this quiet residential street that most tourists completely miss, tucked just behind all the Croisette madness. But you know what? That’s exactly what makes this place special. The apartment sits in this perfect sweet spot where you’re literally a three-minute walk from the beach and all the fancy hotel chaos, but when you close the door behind you, it actually feels peaceful. I mean, you can still hear the occasional scooter buzzing by (this is France, after all), but nothing like the constant hum you get right on the waterfront.

The space itself is what I’d call “properly French” – not trying to be some generic vacation rental, but actually feels like someone’s well-loved home. The kitchen has everything you actually need, not just the bare minimum that makes you want to eat out every meal. I spent a morning making coffee there while watching people head to work below, and it struck me how the light comes in just right around 8 AM. The living area opens up nicely, and honestly, after spending days wandering around Cannes’ cramped hotel lobbies, having room to spread out felt like such a luxury. The bedroom’s quiet too – Rue du Général Ferrié doesn’t get much through traffic, so you’re not dealing with delivery trucks at dawn like you would closer to the port.

What really sold me on the location was stumbling onto Rue Meynadier for groceries – it’s this fantastic market street that runs parallel, maybe two blocks over, where locals actually shop. You’ll find proper cheese, decent wine that doesn’t cost a fortune, and the kind of bakery where they know if you’re not from around here but don’t make you feel like a tourist. The beach access is almost too easy; you just walk down toward the Palais des Festivals and boom, you’re on the sand. But here’s the thing about staying in this neighborhood – you start to notice which cafés the film festival people avoid, which stretches of beach get less crowded in the afternoons, stuff like that. The whole setup just makes Cannes feel more manageable, less like this intimidating playground for people with way more money than you. I kept thinking how much I would’ve missed if I’d stayed in one of those big seafront places where you never really connect with the actual rhythm of the city. For what you pay – and considering that 9.8 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen – you’re getting something that actually enhances the whole Cannes experience rather than just giving you a place to crash.

  We travelled with family ( 4 persons ) and i was looking for a big place instead of hotels, and booked this appartment, and was right! The location was perfect, the house was big , very nice and comfortable , had everything we need, we are very setisfied and will recommend everybody!

  Ligging in centrum met winkels, restaurants enz. op loopafstand. Ook de boulevard was op slechts zo’n honderd meter. Appartement was goed geoutilleerd en heel schoon. Op de 2 badkamers waren doucheschuim, zeep en voldoende handdoeken aanwezig. Groot balkon rondom met twee zitjes. Ruime ondergrondse parking aan overzijde van de straat. Vriendelijk ontvangst door Irina.

  Nous avons été reçus très chaleureusement par Irina et son mari.L’appartement est très bien situé très proche des boutiques et de la plage. L’appartement est très bien équipé, propre et bien meublé et très confortable et bien exposé. Une belle expérience à renouveler avec plaisir.
