What really got me was how the morning light hits the place around 9 AM, especially if you’re up early enough to beat the tourist crowds. The neighborhood has this authentic French residential vibe where you’ll see locals walking their dogs and chatting with shopkeepers, not just Instagram influencers posing for photos. Parking can be a bit tricky (this is Cannes, after all), but there’s actually street parking if you’re patient, and the train station is close enough that you don’t really need a car anyway.

You know what surprised me most? How quiet it gets at night, considering you’re practically in the heart of everything. Sure, during the film festival it’s a different story – the whole area buzzes until late – but most of the year you’ll sleep fine.
