I mean, the name literally says “Bright” but honestly, I wasn’t expecting those massive windows to flood the entire apartment with that golden Côte d’Azur sunshine. It’s on the 5th floor of this narrow building on Impasse de Saint-Louis – and yeah, there’s no elevator, so pack light or embrace the cardio. But once you’re up there, the whole thing opens up into this surprisingly spacious two-bedroom that feels way more expensive than what you’re actually paying.

The location is actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Cannes rather than just visiting it. You’re tucked away on this quiet side street (impasse basically means dead-end, so no through traffic) but you can walk to the Palais des Festivals in about ten minutes – I timed it because I’m that person. The route takes you right through the heart of old Cannes, past those tiny bistros where locals grab their morning coffee and the fishmonger that’s been there forever. There’s a Monoprix literally two blocks away for groceries, which saved me so much money compared to eating out every meal. The beaches are close too, though honestly, you’ll probably end up at one of the private beach clubs on La Croisette anyway – when in Cannes, right?

What really impressed me was how thoughtfully set up everything was. The kitchen actually has proper cookware (not those flimsy tourist apartment pans), the beds are genuinely comfortable, and there’s decent Wi-Fi throughout. The shower has amazing water pressure – small thing, but you notice when it’s good. The apartment gets a bit warm in the afternoons during summer since it faces south, but there are fans, and honestly, the evening breeze off the Mediterranean usually sorts it out. Street parking can be tricky around here (it’s Cannes, what do you expect?), but there’s a public garage about a five-minute walk if you’re driving. The 9.7 rating makes total sense – it’s one of those places that just works, you know? Nothing fancy or Instagram-perfect, but everything you need to actually enjoy your time on the French Riviera without breaking the bank or feeling like you’re staying in some sterile hotel room.
