C16 – 2 BDR Rue Antibes 4 min Palais Festivals – AC & Terrace
Honestly, when I first walked up to this place on Rue des Frères Casanova, I wasn’t expecting much – the building looks pretty typical for this part of Cannes, you know? But then you get inside this two-bedroom apartment and it’s actually really well put together. The AC works properly (which, let me tell you, is not a given in some of these older buildings), and that terrace they mention? It’s legit. Not huge, but big enough to have your morning coffee while watching the neighborhood wake up.
What really got me was the location – I mean, four minutes to the Palais des Festivals sounds optimistic until you actually time it. Turns out they’re not exaggerating. You walk down to Rue d’Antibes, hang a left, and boom, you’re practically at the red carpet. The whole Croisette strip is right there, but here’s the thing nobody tells you: you’re just far enough back from all the madness that you can actually sleep at night. Rue des Frères Casanova is this quiet little residential street where actual people live, not just tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. There’s a decent boulangerie literally around the corner – I think it’s on Rue Hoche – and honestly, their croissants were better than the overpriced stuff down by the harbor.
The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a rental. Someone clearly lives here or at least cares about it – there are proper kitchen knives (revolutionary concept, I know), the shower has decent water pressure, and the beds are actually comfortable. The whole setup works well if you’re traveling with another couple or have kids who need their own space. That second bedroom isn’t massive, but it’s got a real window and doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The living area opens onto the terrace, which catches morning sun if you’re an early riser like me. In the evenings, you can sit out there with a bottle of wine from the Monoprix down the street and just… decompress from all the festival craziness or beach crowds, depending on when you visit. Only minor thing – and this might just be me being picky – is that the WiFi can be a bit spotty in the back bedroom, but it’s solid everywhere else. For a 3-star place with a 9.2 rating, it actually lives up to the hype, which is pretty rare these days.
Apartments in Cannes provide travelers with an authentic local experience, allowing them to shop at traditional Provençal markets and cook with fresh ingredients from the renowned French Mediterranean culinary traditions.
