Cannes Terrace Beach Front & Sea view
You know what hit me first when I walked into the Cannes Terrace Beach Front? The light. I mean, you expect good views when “sea view” is literally in the name, but this place on Boulevard du Midi actually delivers on that promise in a way that makes you stop scrolling through your phone and just… look. The terrace (again, right there in the name) faces directly onto the Mediterranean, and honestly, I’ve stayed at plenty of “beachfront” hotels that are technically near water but require binoculars to see it.
The location is pretty clever, actually – you’re on the quieter eastern side of Cannes, away from the Croisette madness but still close enough that you can walk to all the good stuff. Villa Egée sits right where the Boulevard du Midi curves, so you get this unobstructed water view that the more central hotels charge twice as much for. The building itself feels more like a boutique residence than a typical hotel, which works in its favor – I never felt like I was staying in some massive resort where you need a map to find the elevator. The four-star rating seems about right; it’s not trying to be the Martinez, but the rooms are well-appointed and the staff actually remembers your name after day two.
What I really appreciated was how the place handles the practical stuff that can make or break a Cannes stay. Parking isn’t a nightmare (trust me, this matters here), and the beach access is genuinely direct – no schlepping through crowded streets with your beach bag. The rooms with sea views are worth the upgrade, especially if you’re there during festival season when you’ll want a retreat from the crowds. I stayed in late September and could still eat breakfast on the terrace in just a t-shirt, watching the morning light hit the Îles de Lérins in the distance. The 8-point rating feels earned – there are a few rough edges (the Wi-Fi gets spotty during peak hours, and the air conditioning works a bit too enthusiastically), but nothing that ruins the experience. It’s the kind of place where you end up spending more time in your room than planned, not because there’s nothing to do, but because the view from your balcony is better than most restaurants’ terraces.
Apartments in Cannes provide travelers with an authentic local experience, allowing them to shop at traditional Provençal markets and cook with fresh ingredients from the renowned French Mediterranean culinary traditions.
