Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to the Chagall on Avenue Amiral Wester Wemyss, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place in Cannes. I mean, this is a city where hotel prices can make your credit card weep, so I figured there had to be a catch. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries happen when you lower your expectations just a bit.
The thing about this particular stretch of avenue is that it’s far enough from the Croisette madness to actually get some sleep, but close enough that you’re not stuck taking expensive taxis everywhere. I actually walked to the Palais des Festivals in about fifteen minutes – granted, it’s not the most scenic route, but honestly, after a long day of wandering around Cannes, you’ll appreciate not having to navigate the tourist crowds just to get home. The YourHostHelper management (yeah, I know the name sounds a bit corporate) actually runs a pretty tight ship here. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no pretentious attitude, just efficient people who seemed to genuinely want to help.
What really sold me on this place was the little details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days, not just posing for Instagram shots. The rooms are clean in that “someone actually cares” way, not just surface-level tidy. I could hear some street noise in the mornings – this is Cannes, not a monastery – but nothing that decent earplugs couldn’t handle. The shower pressure was surprisingly good (trust me, this matters more than fancy marble when you’re washing off sunscreen and sweat), and they’d clearly invested in decent mattresses. I slept better here than I did at a supposedly fancier place near the port the year before.
The breakfast situation is solid without being flashy – proper coffee, fresh croissants that taste like they came from an actual bakery, not some industrial kitchen. There’s a small terrace where you can eat outside when the weather’s nice, which in Cannes is basically always. I spent a couple of mornings there planning my day, and it felt more like staying at a friend’s place than being stuck in tourist hotel limbo. Parking can be a bit tricky in this neighborhood (welcome to the French Riviera), but there’s a public lot about two blocks away that won’t completely destroy your budget.
What really impressed me was that 9.4 rating – at first I thought it might be inflated, but after staying here, I get it. It’s not trying to be the Carlton or the Martinez, and that’s exactly why it works. The staff knows the difference between good service and performative hospitality, the location gives you breathing room without isolating you from everything, and honestly, the value for money in this city is pretty remarkable. If you’re coming to Cannes to actually experience the place rather than just collect hotel amenities you’ll never use, the Chagall delivers on what matters most.
The concierge service in Cannes can arrange exclusive access to film screenings, secure reservations at celebrity-frequented restaurants, and organize personalized visits to the Palais des Festivals and nearby islands.

What could be improved: Не было описания о браслетах для бассейна,так как мы ходили в бассейн без них.Мы подумали что это сувенир и взяли их с собой .Не может 1 обычный силиконовый браслет стоить 50 евро!Нам сказали ,если не вернём в течении 2 дней с нас снимут 200 евро .Так как мы были уже в аэропорту пришлось отправить их почтой с Испании в Каны и оплатить за доставку 46 €.Zoé from France – 23 May 2025 (9/10)
