Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from this little apartment when I first walked up rue Latour Maubourg – it’s one of those quieter side streets that you’d probably miss if you weren’t looking for it. But you know what? That turned out to be exactly what made it special. You’re literally a three-minute walk from all the Cannes chaos (the Palais des Festivals, La Croisette, those insanely expensive beachfront cafés), but when you duck into this street, it’s like stepping into actual French residential life.

The apartment itself is pretty straightforward – two rooms that feel lived-in rather than hotel-sterile, which I actually loved. The owner clearly put thought into making it functional for travelers without going overboard on fancy touches. I mean, the kitchen’s tiny but it has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Monoprix around the corner instead of dropping €25 on breakfast every morning. The bedroom gets decent light in the mornings, though fair warning – French windows aren’t exactly soundproof, so you’ll hear some street life. Nothing crazy, just the occasional delivery truck or neighbors heading to work. The living area has this worn leather couch that’s probably seen better days but is surprisingly comfortable for evening wind-downs with a bottle of wine from the cave across the street.

What really sold me on this place was the location’s sweet spot factor. You can walk to the old port in about eight minutes – I timed it because I’m weird like that – and there’s this little boulangerie two blocks down that locals actually use, not just tourists. The woman behind the counter remembered my terrible French by day three, which felt like a small victory. Parking’s going to be your biggest headache (welcome to Cannes), but there’s a public lot about a five-minute walk away that won’t completely destroy your budget. During festival season, though – well, good luck with that. I stayed in October and the whole neighborhood felt relaxed, like you could actually breathe without bumping into influencers taking photos every ten steps. The 7.5 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. If you want to experience Cannes like someone who actually lives there rather than just passing through for the glamour shots, this little apartment gets the job done perfectly.

  Location is Good.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment was in dire need of a deep clean upon arrival. The furniture quality was disappointing, with a table leg even falling and injuring me. The water heater was unusable due to mold buildup, and the toaster was filthy. We had to clean all the kitchenware before being able to use it. Given these issues, the apartment doesn’t justify a rate of more than 100 euros per night.

  Appartamento ampio e dotato di tutti i confort. Posizione ottima.
  
  What could be improved: La pulizia del giardino retrostante il palazzo è pessima. L'appartamento, essendo al piano terra, si affaccia direttamente sulla zona. Segnaliamo purtroppo la presenza di topi, avvistati anche sul davanzale esterno dell'appartamento. Ovviamente consigliamo di Non aprire le finestre., come abbiamo dovuto fare noi. Unica pecca per un appartamento decisamente di buon livello.

  Ubytovanie je kompletne vybavené . My sme boli nadmieru spokojní . Len pár minút od promenády . Úžasné miesto . Isto využijem ponuku tohto ubytovania aj v budúcnosti.

  Eles disponibilizaram o check-in com 2:30h de antecedência, deixaram 4 cápsulas de café, 1 garrafa d'água e 1 garrafa de vinho rosé. O chuveiro era muito bom e o vaso separado do chuveiro atendia bem 2 colegas que viajavam a trabalho pela primeira vez e, portanto, sem intimidade.
  
  What could be improved: Tive que retirar as chaves no escritório que administra a acomodação, vindo direto do aeroporto, ou seja, fiz uma parada de taxi solicitando ao motorista que me esperasse. Ao chegar ao local, percebi que não havia 2 quartos como comunicado no título do anuncio, prejudicando a privacidade de 2 hóspedes. Solicitei a possibilidade de um espelho de corpo inteiro na sala e não foi atendida, assim como mais papel higiênico. Além disso, não pude pendurar nenhuma roupa no armário pois esse ficava dentro do unico quarto e só tinha 2 cabides. Solicitei mais cabides e não me enviaram. O wi-fi também era ruim para se trabalhar.
