You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from this little apartment on Rue du Général Ferrié, but it actually surprised me in the best way. The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without paying Martinez Hotel prices – and I mean that literally, since you’re basically around the corner from one of Cannes’ fanciest spots. The street itself is pretty quiet considering you’re smack in the city center, though you’ll definitely hear some evening chatter from the cafés nearby (which I actually found kind of charming, but light sleepers might want to pack earplugs).

The space feels bigger than most Cannes apartments I’ve stayed in – two proper bedrooms that don’t feel like afterthoughts, and the living area actually has room to spread out your maps and shopping bags. The kitchen is well, functional – nothing fancy but it’s got everything you need if you want to grab fresh stuff from the Marché Forville and make breakfast instead of paying café prices every morning. What really sold me though was how the owner clearly gets what travelers need. There’s decent Wi-Fi (tested it on video calls), the shower has proper water pressure, and they’ve got blackout curtains that actually work. Small things, but they matter when you’re trying to recover from festival crowds or beach days.

I’d say this place hits that sweet spot for people who want a real Cannes experience without the resort hotel markup. You’re a five-minute walk to the Palais des Festivals, close enough to the beaches that you can pop back to drop off shopping bags, and honestly the neighborhood feels more authentic than staying right on La Croisette. The building itself is typical old Cannes – a bit creaky, narrow hallways – but that’s part of the charm. Just don’t expect luxury finishes or a concierge, because that’s not what this is about. It’s clean, comfortable, and positioned perfectly for exploring the city on foot. The only real downside is parking – street spots are nearly impossible during busy season, so factor in garage fees if you’re driving. But honestly, once you’re here, you probably won’t need the car much anyway.

  La localisation est top, l'appartement est spacieux, la literie est bonne et propre.
  
  What could be improved: D'ordre général, l'appartement n'étais pas propre… Il y avait des fourmis mortes partout parterre lorsque nous sommes arrivés. La vaisselle paraissait sale aussi, ainsi que les toilettes. Certains équipements étaient abîmés (lustres, lampes des chambres (soit aucune prise, soit faux contact), mitigeur de la douche). La cuisine n'est pas très équipée : pas de sel, poivre, dessous de plats, d'autre torchons ou produits d'entretien etc on trouve facilement ces choses là d'habitude.
