Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked into Edgar Suites on Rue d’Antibes – I mean, it’s a 3-star place in the heart of Cannes, so I figured it would be pretty standard. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in understated packages. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe that immediately tells you someone actually cares about the details here, and the staff greeted me like I was checking into a much fancier place.

What really sold me on this spot is the location – and I don’t mean that in the generic “convenient location” way that every hotel claims. You’re literally on Rue d’Antibes, which is basically Cannes’ main shopping and dining strip, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize: you’re also just two blocks from the beach and about a five-minute walk to the Palais des Festivals. I could grab my morning coffee at one of those little cafés that locals actually frequent (not the touristy ones by the Croisette), then wander down to the market at Forville if I felt like it. The suites themselves are surprisingly spacious – I had a proper kitchenette that I actually used, not one of those sad mini-fridges with a hot plate. The bed was genuinely comfortable, and the bathroom had decent water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in this part of France.

What impressed me most was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re right in the thick of everything. I was worried about street noise since Rue d’Antibes can get pretty lively, especially during festival season, but the windows do their job well. The whole place just feels… well-run, I guess? Like someone’s paying attention to the small stuff. Check-in was smooth, they had good recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t obvious tourist traps, and when I had a minor issue with the Wi-Fi, they sorted it out within minutes. I’ve stayed at plenty of 4 and 5-star places along the Côte d’Azur that felt more impersonal than this. Sure, you’re not getting a concierge or room service, but if you want a clean, comfortable base for exploring Cannes without paying resort prices, this place delivers. That 9.9 rating isn’t just people being generous – it’s earned.

  Una was extremely helpful and the place was amazing. I would definelty go back with my family.

  What could be improved: The room had 2 bathrooms without WC and WC was separate. And for a family trip it was not enough. We could change the room in the beginning but we chose to stay as I thought one of the bathrooms had WC, then it was too late.

  Location is fantastic. Space in the flat was also great. Super clean and newly refurbished (very functional). Amazingly quiet! Highly recommended.
  
  What could be improved: The parking was a bit of a faff the very first time I used it. Also not helped by the fact that there is big building construction site next to the parking which blocked the entrance of the parking a few times (this was just bad luck… when they are finished with this, it will all be OK). You cannot hear the construction noise in the flat at all.
  Once I understood what remote does what and what code is required for which door it was all good.

  Am Tag der Anreise war der Strom in Cannes ausgefallen. Da der Aufzug der Tiefgarage ausgefallen war, musste das Gepäck über Umwege transportiert werden. Die wunderbare Una vom Team Edgar hat uns liebevoll empfangen und trotz Widerstand beim Tragen geholfen. Sie aber auch ihr Kollege sind wunderbar. Die Lage perfekt in der zentralen Einkaufsstraße, Restaurants, Supermarkt und Strand in wenigen Minuten erreicht und das Apartment neu, geschmackvoll und sehr sauber und dazu komplett ausgestattet – zudem gut sehr gut isoliert, man hört fast nichts. Das Team ist stets erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit was die Website verspricht wird übererfüllt.
