— The hotel
Golden Triangle 2Br/2Ba
Look, I’ve stayed in my share of Cannes apartments, and this place on Rue des États-Unis honestly surprised me. You know that area right behind the Palais des Festivals? That’s where you’ll find this gem – close enough to hear the buzz from the Croisette during festival season, but tucked away so you’re not dealing with the constant parade of tourists stumbling back from Martinez at 3 AM.
The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there, if that makes sense. I mean, it’s clearly set up for rentals, but there’s none of that sterile hotel vibe you get in most places. The two bedrooms are properly sized (not those shoebox situations you sometimes get in the city center), and honestly, having two full bathrooms makes all the difference when you’re traveling with friends or family. The kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to grab fresh stuff from Marché Forville – which, by the way, is just a quick walk up the hill. I ended up cooking more than I planned because, well, French markets will do that to you.
What really sold me on this place was how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re literally two minutes from Rue d’Antibes for shopping, but you can also duck into those little side streets where locals actually eat. There’s this tiny bistro called Le Comptoir – probably walked past it a dozen times before I noticed it – that serves better bouillabaisse than half the places charging tourist prices down on the port. The building itself is classic Cannes, which means you’ll hear some street noise (it’s a city, people), but nothing crazy. Actually slept better here than I did at some of the beachfront hotels where you get the party crowd until dawn.
Parking’s going to be your usual Cannes headache, but there’s a public garage about five minutes away that won’t completely destroy your budget. Check-in was smooth – none of that awkward key-juggling you sometimes get with apartment rentals. The whole place just felt… comfortable, I guess. Like somewhere you could actually spend a week without feeling like you’re camping out in someone else’s space. And that 9.7 rating? Yeah, I get it. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything works, it’s clean, the location’s perfect, and you’re not paying Croisette prices for the privilege.
Cannes hotels range from charming boutique properties in the historic Le Suquet district to elegant palace hotels and modern luxury accommodations along La Croisette Boulevard.
