You know what struck me first about this IMMOGROOM place? The name is honestly terrible – sounds like some tech startup that got confused about its business model. But don’t let that put you off, because once you’re actually standing in this apartment on Chemin Saint-Nicolas, you’ll forget all about the weird branding.

The location is what really makes this work. I mean, you’re in the Prado-République area, which locals will tell you is where Cannes actually lives and breathes – not just the glitzy Croisette stuff everyone sees in movies. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the main beach action, but honestly that’s perfect because you get to duck into actual neighborhood bakeries and cafés along the way. The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious (hence the “large” in that clunky name), and the sea view from the main room is legit – not one of those “if you crane your neck and squint” situations. On clear mornings, you can actually see the Îles de Lérins floating out there while you’re having your coffee.

The practical stuff matters here too. Parking in Cannes is usually a nightmare that’ll cost you about €25 a day, so having a dedicated spot is honestly worth its weight in gold – especially during festival season when the whole city turns into a beautiful, expensive parking disaster. The air conditioning actually works (not always a given in older European buildings), and the WiFi is solid enough that I got some work done without wanting to throw my laptop out that sea-view window. The kitchen is well-equipped enough that you can avoid eating out for every meal, which your wallet will appreciate since we’re talking about Cannes prices here. I particularly loved the morning routine of grabbing fresh bread from the boulangerie on Rue d’Antibes and making proper coffee while watching the light change over the Mediterranean.

Look, it’s a 3-star place with a 7 rating, so we’re not talking about marble bathrooms or turndown service – but that’s actually refreshing. What you get is a comfortable, authentic base that feels more like staying in a friend’s apartment than a sterile hotel room. The building has that worn-in charm of old Cannes architecture, complete with those shutters that actually keep the afternoon sun from turning your room into an oven. The neighborhood gets properly quiet at night (unlike some areas closer to the port), but you’re still close enough to walk to late dinners without needing taxis. During my stay, I found myself spending more time on the small balcony than I expected, just watching the daily rhythm of the street below – kids heading to school, elderly locals doing their market shopping, the occasional confused tourist consulting their phone maps. It’s that kind of place where you feel like you’re experiencing Cannes rather than just visiting it.

    What could be improved: das „Lichtkonzept“ in der gesamten Wohnung war merkwürdig. So waren zum Beispiel die Nachttischlampen nur Attrappen, im Wohnzimmer gab es nur eine Stehlampe. (ansonsten keine Lampe) Es gab auch keinen großen Spiegel, in dem man sich mal im gesamten anschauen konnte, bevor man das Haus verließ. Die Küche hätte etwas sauberer sein können, im 2. Schlafzimmer gab es keinen Schrank. Das sind aber alles für uns keine wirklichen Mängel gewesen, eher Anregungen für die Zukunft!

    What could be improved: Tenía dos habitaciones, las culaes una no tiene puerta solo cortinas, el living no tiene una luz general, hya una ducha sin inodoro, un inodoro aparte sin lavavo y otro baño solo con una bañera, sin ducha ni cortina, muy incomodo, en ningun lugar aclaraba que solo una habitación tenia puerta asi como tampoco que de los 3 baños, solo uno tiene inodoro, si a eso se le puede llamar baño…
