You know what caught me off guard about this little studio on Rue Hoche? The terrace. I mean, sure, the name mentions it, but honestly – when you’re booking a 3-star place in the heart of Cannes, you’re not exactly expecting much outdoor space. This one’s different though. The terrace is genuinely spacious, and I found myself spending way more time out there than inside the actual studio, especially in the evenings when the city noise dies down a bit.

The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without paying those crazy Croisette prices. Rue Hoche puts you maybe a 5-minute walk from all the main action – you can easily stroll to the Palais des Festivals, hit the beach, or wander through those winding streets in Le Suquet when you want something more authentic. What I really appreciated was being close enough to duck back for an afternoon break (that terrace again) without feeling like you’re missing out on anything. The studio itself is… well, it’s compact, but they’ve made smart use of the space. Everything you actually need is there, and the setup works fine for a few nights. I will say the street can get a bit lively – it’s central Cannes, so you’re going to hear some nightlife, especially during festival season or summer weekends.

The whole experience felt very much like staying in someone’s well-loved pied-à-terre rather than a sterile hotel room. There’s character here that you won’t find in the big chain places along the waterfront. The building has that classic French apartment feel, and honestly, sitting on that terrace with a glass of wine watching Cannes go about its business below – that’s when you feel like you’re actually living in the city rather than just visiting it. For the price point and the location, it delivers on what matters most: a genuine slice of Cannes life with enough comfort to recharge between adventures.

  Très bon emplacement, lieu propre et tout le nécessaire est sur place
  
  What could be improved: Literie pas très confortable
  Murs peu épais, le voisinage profite de nos bruits et nous profitons de ceux de notre voisinage
  Toilettes placée face à un mur et donc pas très confortables (même pour les petits gabarits)
