Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Le Louvre Top Floor” on Rue Venizelos, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you. This little spot sits right in the heart of Cannes, literally a five-minute walk from the Palais des Festivals (where all the film festival madness happens), and somehow manages to feel like a local secret despite being smack in the tourist zone. The sixth-floor location means you’re getting some decent views – not quite the Instagram-worthy coastline shots, but enough of the city sprawl and those terracotta rooftops that make you remember you’re actually in the south of France.

What really got me was how the place operates. The staff actually knows the neighborhood – I mean really knows it. When I asked about avoiding the cruise ship crowds near the old port, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward La Croisette like every other hotel does. Instead, he walked me through the back streets toward Forville Market and showed me this route that cuts through residential Cannes where you’ll see locals hanging laundry and kids playing football. That’s gold, honestly. The rooms themselves are… well, they’re what you’d expect from a solid 3-star, nothing fancy but clean and comfortable enough. The AC works (crucial in summer), the shower has decent pressure, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. I did notice some street noise in the evenings – Rue Venizelos gets lively, especially during festival season – but it’s the good kind of buzz that reminds you you’re in the middle of everything, not the annoying kind that keeps you up.

Here’s the thing about this place that really matters: it sits in that sweet spot where you can walk to all the fancy beach clubs and designer shops on La Croisette, but you’re also close enough to the real Cannes to grab your morning coffee at the corner café where the regulars actually speak French, not tourist English. The 8.5 rating makes sense when you factor in the location and the price point – you’re not getting palace-level luxury, but you’re getting authentic access to the city without paying Hôtel Martinez prices. Plus, being on the sixth floor means you’ll actually get some exercise climbing those stairs when the elevator’s being temperamental (which happens, but hey, that’s part of the charm). If you’re the type who wants to experience Cannes like someone who lives there rather than just passes through, this is your spot.

  Very nice little French apartment. Just a few minutes walk to everything. The beach, the festival area, port, train station. Dishwasher, washing machine and everything you need was available in the apartment. Service from the host was excellent. There was even a few bottle of wines available upon arrival, just replaced what we consumed before our departure. We will definitely book this place again next time we come to Cannes.

  What could be improved: The apartment was lovely although note if you have heavy luggage. Although there is a lift to the 5th floor, the final part is up a narrow staircase making it difficult for some.

  The location is hard to beat. Right in the city centre it overlooks the most charming part of town, filled with buzzing restaurants and bars. It’s just a 3 minute walk to the beach and there’s a grocery store right next door. The host, managers and maid are all super friendly and very helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The beds weren’t great. There were two narrow beds in the small bed room and a sofa bed in the living room. I choose that and have had back pain ever since.

  Квартира чиста, є всі зручності – кавоварка. електрочайник, посудомийна машина, пральна машина, холодильник, праска, фен та ін., В кожній кімнаті є кондиціонер. 5 хв до пляжу. Поблизу багато магазинів та ресторанів. Гарний вид з вікна.
