My room was on the smaller side — this is France, after all — but everything felt thoughtfully designed. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the bathroom, while compact, had good water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in older European buildings). What struck me most was the attention to detail: proper blackout curtains, decent Wi-Fi, and a little balcony that looked out onto the street below. It’s not fancy, but it’s exactly what you need after a long day exploring the city or attending events.

Being in the city center means you’re surrounded by actual life, not just tourist infrastructure. There’s a small market nearby where locals shop, and several restaurant options that don’t feel like tourist traps. I found myself walking to dinner most nights instead of taking taxis, which saved money and gave me a better feel for the area. The beach is close enough for morning walks, but you’re not paying beachfront prices for the privilege. It’s that sweet spot where you get access without the premium that comes with being directly on the water.

  Location very close to a public beach. Close to shops and restaurants as well. It was very spaciousness.; Full rain shower was awesome (but leaked onto floor), Kitchen was handy for a 5 night stay as was the Nespresso machine. Welcome gift upon arrival was very much appreciated. We loved that we could open the windows to the unit and have the bedroom separate from the common space.
  
  What could be improved: Very noisy outside with garbage trucks and hotel carts next door early in morning. Couldn't get washer to work as it was all in French. Unsure if it was a washer/dryer combo unit or not but only saw one machine. TV stations in English were minimal. Having nowhere onsite to dispose of garbage/recyclables was strange to me. Eventually found one about 100 feet from the apartment.
