The moment you walk into this second-floor apartment on Rue Boucicaut, there’s actually thought behind everything – and I mean that in the best way possible.

The location is what really got me though. Everyone talks about being “close to the Palais” but they don’t tell you about the walk, right? This place is actually walkable – like, genuinely walkable, not that tourist-trap walkable where you’re huffing and puffing uphill for twenty minutes. You’re in the Prado-République area, which honestly feels more like real Cannes than those sterile hotel strips closer to the beach. There’s this little café downstairs (well, sort of around the corner) where locals grab their morning coffee, and you’ll hear actual French conversations instead of just tourist chatter. Plus – and this matters if you’re carrying luggage – the building’s got that classic French charm without being impossibly narrow or having those tiny spiral staircases that make you question your packing choices.

What really sells me on this place is how it handles the practical stuff that travel websites never mention. The apartment’s on the second floor, so you get street life sounds but not that ground-floor noise that keeps you up all night. The 2-piece setup actually works well if you’re traveling with someone – there’s space to spread out without feeling like you’re living in each other’s pockets. And honestly, for a 3-star place, the attention to detail is more like what you’d expect from somewhere pricier. I mean, that 9.5 rating isn’t just people being nice – you can tell someone actually cares about the guest experience here. The check-in was smooth (no standing around wondering if you’re at the right building), and everything just… worked. You know how rare that is? The Wi-Fi didn’t cut out every five minutes, the shower had decent pressure, the little kitchen setup was actually functional if you wanted to grab groceries instead of eating out every meal. Those small things add up when you’re trying to feel human while traveling. If you’re looking for something that feels more like staying in a friend’s well-kept apartment than a generic hotel room, and you want to be close enough to the Palais action without paying those crazy beachfront prices, this is honestly worth considering.

  Easy 8-10min walk to Palais. Good location and so handy to train station if wanting to go to Monaco.
  
  What could be improved: Slightly funny layout of toilet coming off bedroom. Deck is actually very small and not as nice as photos.
