Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to this place on Rue du 11 Novembre – I mean, it’s tucked away in the Carnot neighborhood, which isn’t exactly where you’d picture yourself staying in glamorous Cannes. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you. This flat actually sits in one of those classic French buildings that locals call home, and there’s something refreshing about being away from the tourist circus down by the Croisette while still being close enough to walk there in maybe fifteen minutes.
The thing that really got me was how genuinely luxurious it felt without trying too hard. The owner clearly put thought into the details – I’m talking about proper linens (not that scratchy hotel stuff), a kitchen that’s actually equipped for cooking real meals, and windows that open wide to let in that Mediterranean breeze. The neighborhood itself is pretty authentic; you’ve got your regular French bakery just around the corner on Boulevard Carnot, and there’s this little market on Thursdays where you can grab fresh produce and flowers. It’s the kind of area where you hear more French than English on the street, which honestly made the whole experience feel more genuine. The only slight downside is that parking can be a bit tricky – street spots fill up fast, especially during festival season, but there’s a public lot about a five-minute walk away that’s not too pricey.
What really sells this place for me is the balance it strikes. You’re close enough to the action that you can easily pop down to the beaches or wander through the old town (Le Suquet is gorgeous at sunset, by the way), but far enough up the hill that you escape the crowds and noise when you want to decompress. The flat itself has this lived-in elegance – it’s clearly someone’s pride and joy, not just another rental property. I particularly loved the little balcony where you can have your morning coffee and actually hear birds instead of traffic. The whole Carnot area feels more residential and calm, especially in the evenings when families are out walking and the local bistros start filling up with people who actually live here year-round. If you’re the type who wants to experience Cannes beyond the red carpet fantasy – and let’s be honest, most of us aren’t dropping thousands at designer boutiques anyway – this spot gives you that insider’s perspective while still keeping you connected to everything that makes the city special.

Odeta from Lithuania – 4 June 2024 (7/10)
nice comfortable location for the Festival, 10 minutes by foot to Palais
What could be improved: on the day of arrival, we found the apartment very messy, there was dust and construction dirt all over the apartment. after contacting the host, a cleaner was sent, but the apartment was cleaned only in the evening, so the check-in experience was awful. also, during the festival, we paid a lot for the apartment and expected the appropriate service, but we didn't get it. when reserving the apartment, the number of guests was specified, but bed linen was not prepared for one sofa, we had to wait for it to be brought separately. also, the agency did not provide separate blankets, and colleagues had to share the same blanket. would be great if the agency could improve the services.Nilgun from France – 11 March 2024 (8/10)
