You know what struck me first about this place? The name is ridiculously long – Magnifique 3 pièces and all that – but honestly, it’s not wrong. This apartment on Rue Macé is one of those finds that makes you feel like you’ve cracked some local code. I mean, you’re literally one minute from the beach (and I actually timed it because I’m that person), three minutes from the Palais des Festivals, and right in the thick of Cannes without the insane prices of La Croisette itself.

The location is what really sells it. Rue Macé runs parallel to the famous waterfront strip, so you get all the perks without the constant tourist chaos right outside your window. You can pop down to the beach for an early morning walk before the crowds hit, then wander over to the Palais area for coffee at one of those tiny cafés the locals actually use. There’s this great little boulangerie just around the corner – I won’t say exactly where because some secrets should stay secret – but you’ll smell the croissants baking if you’re up early enough. The apartment itself feels properly French, not like those sterile hotel rooms that could be anywhere. Three rooms means you can actually spread out, and the fact that it’s pulling a 9-rating tells you something about how the owners maintain it.

What I love about staying here versus the big hotels is that you’re living in the actual neighborhood. You’ll hear real French conversations drifting up from the street, not just tourist chatter. The building has that solid, old-Cannes feel – thick walls that keep things quiet at night, which is crucial during festival season when the whole city goes a bit mad. Parking can be tricky (let’s be honest, it’s Cannes), but you’re close enough to everything that you might not even need a car. The train station is walkable if you’re planning day trips to Nice or Monaco, and the local bus routes actually make sense once you figure them out. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to feel less like a tourist and more like someone who just happens to live in one of the most beautiful spots on the French Riviera for a few days.
