— The hotel
Nadia By Terry’s Homes
You know what caught me off guard about Nadia By Terry’s Homes? Walking into what feels like someone’s incredibly stylish apartment rather than a typical hotel lobby. I mean, this place sits right on Rue d’Antibes – which, if you’ve never been to Cannes, is basically the main shopping artery that runs parallel to the famous Croisette – and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering.
The thing is, Rue d’Antibes gets pretty buzzy during the day with all the boutiques and cafés, but by evening it settles into this lovely Mediterranean rhythm where you can actually hear conversations from the sidewalk terraces below. The rooms – and I’m speaking from experience here – have this really thoughtful design that doesn’t scream “hotel chain.” Terry (whoever Terry is) clearly has an eye for detail because you’ll find these little touches like proper reading lights by the bed and actually decent coffee facilities, not those sad little packets you usually get. The bathrooms are compact but smart – very French in that efficient way where everything has its place. I actually appreciated that the shower had proper water pressure, which… well, let’s just say that’s not always guaranteed in boutique places.
What really sets this apart though is how it feels like you’re staying in the real Cannes, not the Instagram version. You’re a five-minute walk from the Palais des Festivals if you’re here during film festival madness, but you’re also stumbling distance from those narrow streets behind Rue d’Antibes where locals actually eat dinner. The covered market at Forville is maybe ten minutes on foot – perfect for grabbing fresh stuff if your room has a little kitchenette setup. And here’s something the booking sites don’t tell you: the building’s got character (read: it’s not brand new), so you might hear your neighbors occasionally, but it’s never been disruptive in my experience. Check-in is refreshingly personal – they actually remember your name and seem genuinely interested in making sure you know about the good wine bar around the corner or where to catch the best sunset views. For a three-star place, it punches way above its weight in terms of service and style, which probably explains that 9.2 rating. It’s the kind of spot where you feel like you’ve discovered something special rather than just booked another room.
