Palm beach- Free Wifi- Parking- Sea View
Honestly, when I first pulled up to this place on Avenue des Hespérides, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star spot in Cannes – I mean, you know how this town can be with its glitzy reputation. But Palm Beach actually surprised me in the best way possible. The name’s a bit literal (they really do have free wifi, parking, and that sea view they promise), but sometimes straightforward is exactly what you need.
What really got me was the location – you’re right there in Pointe Croisette, which honestly feels like you’ve found this quiet pocket that most tourists just walk past on their way to the main Croisette action. I could actually hear the waves from my room, not just see a sliver of blue between buildings like at some of those “sea view” places. The parking thing is huge here too, and I’m talking from experience after circling around Cannes for thirty minutes looking for a spot elsewhere on previous trips. You pull right in, no drama, no valet giving you attitude – just park and you’re done.
The rooms are… well, they’re solid. Not Instagram-perfect, but comfortable in that lived-in way where you can actually relax instead of worrying about messing up the pristine white everything. My room faced the water, and I’d wake up to this gentle sound of waves that made me forget I was in one of the busiest resort towns on the Riviera. The wifi worked great (I was working remotely for part of my stay), and the whole place has this laid-back vibe that’s pretty refreshing when you venture down to the main strip and deal with all the chaos there.
What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually live here – they’d give you directions to the good bakery on Rue d’Antibes, or tell you which beach clubs were worth the money versus which ones were just tourist traps. You’re close enough to walk to all the Cannes stuff (maybe 10-15 minutes to really get into the thick of it), but far enough that you can escape back to something that feels more… normal, I guess? The 8.7 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on exactly what it promises, and sometimes that’s worth way more than marble bathrooms and champagne service.
