I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Palais des Festivals – I timed it – and honestly, that’s worth its weight in gold during the film festival chaos. The street itself is pretty quiet, which surprised me given how central you are. You’ve got that lovely tree-lined stretch that feels more residential than touristy, though you’ll definitely hear some late-night chatter from the nearby bars if you’re a light sleeper.

The thing about this place is it feels like someone’s aunt runs it – and I mean that in the best way possible. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no fancy digital nonsense, just actual humans who seemed to know the neighborhood inside and out. The woman at reception pointed me toward this little boulangerie around the corner on Rue d’Antibes that I never would’ve found otherwise (their pain au chocolat, by the way, is ridiculous). The rooms are… well, they’re perfectly adequate. Clean, functional, with that slightly dated European hotel vibe that’s actually kind of comforting. The bathroom’s compact but everything works, and honestly, the water pressure was better than some four-star places I’ve stayed. What really got me was the attention to small details – fresh towels appeared like magic, and someone clearly cares about keeping things tidy.

Here’s the real deal though: location trumps luxury every single time in Cannes, and this place nails it. You’re close enough to walk to the beach without breaking a sweat, but far enough from the Croisette madness that you can actually think straight. The Martinez and all those glamorous spots are right there when you want them, but you can retreat to something more human-scaled when the scene gets overwhelming. Parking’s always a nightmare in this part of town – fair warning – but there’s a public garage about two blocks away that won’t completely destroy your budget. The 7.6 rating makes perfect sense to me; it’s honest without being harsh. This isn’t where you’ll be Instagramming your marble bathroom, but it’s where you’ll sleep well, start your day with decent coffee, and actually feel like you’re staying somewhere with personality rather than a corporate hotel template. If you’re the type who values being in the heart of things over having a concierge, this little gem delivers exactly what it promises.

  The location and modern feel to the inside. Well stocked kitchen and balcony.
  
  What could be improved: The key is held offsite rather than in a lockbox at the property. I recommend vacuuming the rug and couch, as there was hair and crushed biscuits in the couch and on the rug. Don’t wear bare feet inside. Bedroom only just fits the bed and makes you laugh out loud when you see it. The shower has no door so floods every time you shower which is ridiculous.

  What could be improved: The building isnt labelled so its tough to find where tghe upstairs apartment was .. the helper solved the problem on WhatsApp after we had spent twenty minutes talking together.

  What could be improved: Communication execrable avec la conciergerie, tant dans la reactivite que par les solutions aux problemes rencontrés (remise des clés, absence de chauffage en plein hiver, aucune signalétique dans l'appartement, équipement très limitées….). Aucune réponse au téléphone sur les deux lignes proposées malgré les nombreux essais. Vous envoyez un message urgent à 18h, on vous répond le lendemain à 9h30 alors que la conciergerie est censée opérer de 6h à 22h! A fuir!
