There’s this quiet residential feel to the area that locals seem to appreciate – I’d see the same faces at the small café around the corner each morning, which always feels like a good sign. The building itself has this understated French elegance that doesn’t scream “tourist hotel,” and honestly, that’s refreshing when you’re surrounded by all the glitz.

What really got me was the attention to detail inside. The rooms aren’t huge – this is Cannes, after all – but everything feels intentional. The beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), and there’s this sense that someone thought about how real people use hotel rooms. I particularly loved the windows – they open properly, which sounds minor until you’re staying somewhere with that stale, over-conditioned air. Parking was surprisingly manageable, though I’d suggest asking them about it when you book since street parking around there can be… well, let’s just say it requires some local knowledge and patience.

Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ve ever stayed, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. It’s the kind of hotel where you feel like you’re actually experiencing Cannes rather than just passing through in a tourist bubble. The value is exceptional – especially when you consider what you’d pay for similar quality closer to the festival palaces.
