Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw this place listed as “Romantic and new apartment in the famous Rue Meynadier,” I thought it was just another overhyped rental with a fancy name. But you know what? Sometimes the long-winded titles actually tell the truth. This little gem sits right in the heart of what locals call the “real Cannes,” where you’re wandering the same cobblestones that fishermen walked centuries before the film festival turned this place into a playground for the wealthy.
Rue Meynadier itself is this wonderfully chaotic pedestrian street that cuts straight through the old town – I mean, you can literally walk from the apartment to the Palais des Festivals in maybe ten minutes, but honestly, you’ll want to take longer because you’ll get distracted by the cheese shops and that incredible little bakery (Boulangerie Julien, if you’re taking notes) that does these almond croissants that are… well, let’s just say I had to buy bigger pants. The apartment feels genuinely new inside, which is refreshing because so many places in this part of Cannes are beautiful but, you know, creaky and temperamental. Here, everything actually works – the shower has proper pressure, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a dying helicopter, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every time someone in the next building turns on their microwave.
What really got me was how quiet it manages to be despite being smack in the middle of everything. Sure, during the day you’ll hear the gentle buzz of people wandering the pedestrian zone below, but once evening settles in and the shops close, there’s this lovely calm that settles over the whole street. The windows are well-insulated too, which matters more than you’d think – I’ve stayed in “charming” old town places where you hear every conversation from three blocks away. The space itself has this clean, minimalist vibe that somehow doesn’t feel cold or sterile. There’s enough room to actually unpack your suitcase (revolutionary concept, I know), and the little kitchenette means you can grab fresh ingredients from the morning market at Forville – just a five-minute walk – and actually cook something instead of eating out every single meal. Though honestly, with places like Astoux et Brun practically around the corner, you might not want to cook much. The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s one of those places where all the small details just work together properly, and you find yourself thinking “yeah, I could actually live here for a while” instead of just counting down the days until checkout.

The apartment is beautiful, clean and it has everything you need. It is small, just for two people, but cosy. We appreciated the bottle of water and the coffee capsules that were left for us. It is situated on a busy street full of boutiques and cafes and shops, near a Carrefour, near everything. The beach is about 15 minute walk away and Marche Forville, full of gorgeous French vegetables and fruit is 5 minutes away. The train station very close, too. It is on the third floor, no lift and the stairs are circular and a little bit difficult to climb up and down if you are not very young. Inside it is very quiet, in spite of the busy street, because the windows open behind the building, with a lovely view to some gardens. The windows do not have blinds and curtains inside, only wooden blinds outside that you have to open and close if you need it. The check in and check out was very easy and the communication with the owner was excellent. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
What could be improved: Only the stairs.Stephanie from Brazil – 23 June 2024 (9/10)

Brilliant location, very nice apartment, small and compact, everything you need is there . Only thing it was a 3rd floor and was hard to walk for my mum ( senior)but she managed😀 so quiet during the night as its not on the main street ,you can hear only birds in the morning 🎶 during the day it's a busy shopping area and lovely bakeries and supermarkets just a step out.
Sinem from Turkey – 25 March 2023 (10/10)
Very nice, elegant and cosy place which includes everything you can need. I like here as much as I like Cannes. The street is so nice, I could find everything I needed. Check in and check out was so delicately arranged. I will come back as soon as possible.

The location is perfect, the apartment is complete, a real gem in the center near many shops and restaurantes, and the communication with Elisa (host) was outstanding! Definitely a place to stay in Cannes!
Karen from South Africa – 10 October 2022 (8/10)
The hosts were very responsive to any queries prior to arrival. The apartment is compact and has everything one needs to stay in comfort.
What could be improved: The person to open the property does not speak any english which can be a problem. My flight was late and although I did stay in contact regarding my arrival time. I had to wait 30 minutes before the person arrived to open.Joierie from Philippines – 29 May 2023 (7/10)
it’s right at the very center of all the happenings. walking distance to Palais, everything is just a stone-throw away—pharmacy, bars, restaurants, cafes, stores, etc. the location is super convenient. the room also has complete kitchen essentials.
What could be improved: the room is located on the 3rd floor and unfortunately the building has no elevator. the lights in the hallway need to be switched on and the stairs are semi circular which requires extra caution when going up and down the building. noise from the neighboring restaurant can sometimes linger past midnight.Yoan from France – 27 February 2023 (10/10)
Appartement très confortable que nous avons réservé pour la 2eme fois. Réservation et accès faciles. Plein centre. Très proche du Palais des festivals et de la plage. Commerces à proximité.
