The whole “3 minutes to the beach” thing isn’t just marketing fluff, either. I actually timed it (because I’m that person), and it’s more like a 2-minute stroll if you walk at a normal pace. You’re basically steps away from the sand, but here’s the kicker – you’re far enough from the Croisette chaos that you can actually sleep at night. During the film festival madness in May, that’s worth its weight in gold, trust me. The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish French relative let you borrow their place for the week. It’s got that effortless elegance thing going on without being stuffy about it, and honestly, the kitchen is better equipped than most people’s actual homes. I ended up cooking way more than I planned because, well, the morning market on Rue Meynadier is just a quick walk away and you can’t resist those tomatoes.

What really sold me on this spot was the little details that show someone actually cares about the guest experience. The shower pressure is fantastic (anyone who’s stayed in older European buildings knows this is not a given), there’s proper blackout curtains so you can sleep past sunrise, and – this might sound weird – but the internet actually works reliably for video calls. The neighborhood has this lived-in authenticity that the fancy hotel strips lack. You’ve got the boulangerie crowd doing their morning routine, elderly locals playing pétanque in the small park nearby, and that particular Mediterranean light filtering through the windows around 6 PM that makes everything look like a film set. During peak summer it gets busy, sure, but it’s the right kind of busy – families heading to the beach, not tourists frantically checking maps every five seconds. The rating of 9.3 makes total sense once you’ve been there. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which is refreshing in a town where everything can feel a bit performative. You get the Cannes experience without the Cannes attitude, if that makes sense.
