I spent most mornings out there with coffee, watching Cannes wake up without being right in the thick of the tourist chaos. The apartment itself is spacious – 55 square meters means you can actually unpack your suitcase and live like a human being for a few days. The air conditioning works beautifully (crucial if you’re visiting in summer), and the WiFi is solid enough that I managed to get some work done without wanting to throw my laptop out the window.

What really sold me on this spot was the location in Carnot. You know how everyone talks about being “close to everything” but then you end up either in the middle of a construction zone or paying through the nose for a shoebox? Well, this actually delivers on that promise. The 15-minute walk to the old town and La Croisette is perfect – close enough that you’re not spending half your vacation commuting, but far enough that you escape the insanity when the film festival crowd or summer tourists get overwhelming. Avenue Maurice Derché is one of those residential streets where you feel like you’re living in Cannes rather than just visiting it. There’s a decent café about two blocks away, and honestly, the whole neighborhood has this lived-in feel that I really appreciated after spending time in the more touristy parts of town.

The owner clearly knows what travelers actually need – I mean, there’s proper kitchen equipment if you want to grab groceries from the Monoprix and make dinner (the terrace is perfect for this), but you’re also walking distance from incredible restaurants if cooking feels like too much work on vacation. My only minor gripe is that the building doesn’t have an elevator, so if you’re hauling heavy luggage, just be prepared for a bit of a workout. But honestly? For what you get here – the space, the terrace, that perfect balance of residential calm and tourist accessibility – it’s pretty much exactly what I want when I’m staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. The 8.5 rating makes complete sense to me; it’s not luxury, but it’s thoughtful and comfortable in all the ways that actually matter when you’re trying to enjoy Cannes without breaking the bank or feeling like you’re camping out in a hotel lobby.

  Удобная кровать, оборудованная кухня, со всем необходимым, большой телевизор, большая терасса. До центра 20 минут пешком. Квартира просторная. Хозяка быстро отвечала на сообщения.
  
  What could be improved: В квартире много личных вещей хозяев, детские носки под диваном, постельное белье на кровати хорошее, второй комплект с дырками. Полотенца очень изношенны, застираны. Терасса большая со столом, но мы ей не пользовались, потому что там было очень, грязно. Небыло чайника.
