Hotel Description
You know what strikes me first about Villa Julyan? It’s tucked away on Avenue du Petit Juas in this quiet residential pocket of Cannes that most tourists never stumble across. I mean, you’re still only a ten-minute walk from the Croisette, but honestly, it feels like you’ve discovered some well-kept local secret. The street itself is lined with those classic Cannes apartment buildings – you know the type, with the wrought-iron balconies and that particular French Riviera charm that’s somehow both elegant and lived-in at the same time.
The hotel itself is this converted villa that actually feels like someone’s stylish home rather than a typical tourist spot. When I first walked in, there was this immediate sense of… well, authenticity, I guess? The owner clearly knows what they’re doing – every detail feels intentional but not fussy. The rooms have that perfect balance of modern comfort and French character (think renovated bathroom but original tile floors). What really got me was how quiet it is at night. You’re close enough to hear the distant hum of Boulevard de la Croisette when the windows are open, but far enough that you actually sleep well – something that’s honestly hard to find in Cannes during festival season or peak summer.
Parking was surprisingly straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Cannes will tell you is basically a miracle. There’s street parking right outside, and the staff actually gave me tips on the best spots rather than just shrugging like you get at bigger hotels. The walk to Plage du Martinez takes maybe eight minutes if you’re strolling, five if you’re eager to hit the beach. But here’s the thing – you’re also really close to some of the better local spots that aren’t completely overrun with tourists. There’s this fantastic little market on Rue Forville that’s an easy walk, and honestly, the whole Suquet area with its winding streets and proper local restaurants is right there. I found myself coming back to Villa Julyan each evening feeling like I’d actually experienced Cannes rather than just the postcard version of it. The staff seems to get this too – they’re not pushing the obvious tourist traps but actually know the area well enough to point you toward places locals might go. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in Cannes rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.
Cannes hotels range from charming boutique properties in the historic Le Suquet district to elegant palace hotels and modern luxury accommodations along La Croisette Boulevard.

Very beautiful villa. We had a wonderful time. It was within walking distance to the center of Cannes. The owner was very helpful. We would stay here again when we go to Cannes.
