Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places along the French Riviera, and honestly? This apartment on Boulevard du Midi caught me completely off guard. When you first walk in, that sea view just hits you – I mean, it’s literally called “Vue mer exceptionnelle” and they weren’t kidding around. The whole place faces south toward the Mediterranean, so you’re getting that gorgeous light streaming in pretty much all day. What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being right there on the boulevard. You know how Cannes can get crazy during festival season, but this spot somehow feels removed from all that chaos while still being walkable to everything.

The apartment itself has this sort of understated elegance that feels authentically French rather than trying too hard. The kitchen actually works – like, you can genuinely cook a proper meal here, which is rarer than you’d think in vacation rentals. I ended up making coffee every morning and just sitting on that balcony watching the boats in the bay. There’s something about the way the morning light hits the water that makes you understand why artists have been obsessed with this coastline for centuries. The building has character too – it’s got that classic Cannes architecture without feeling stuffy or overly formal.

What I really appreciated was the neighborhood vibe. You’re close enough to La Croisette that you can walk to all the fancy spots (maybe fifteen minutes at a leisurely pace), but Boulevard du Midi has its own thing going on. There’s a decent boulangerie just down the street, and the locals actually shop there, which tells you something. Parking can be a bit tricky – this is Cannes, after all – but the host was super helpful with suggestions. The whole experience felt less like staying at a hotel and more like borrowing a friend’s really nice place. And honestly, with a 9.3 rating, I wasn’t surprised to see I wasn’t the only one who felt that way. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to plan your next trip back before you’ve even left.
