Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to this place on rue Notre Dame, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star spot. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you, and this little one-bedroom definitely falls into that category.
The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Cannes at all. You’re literally two minutes from the Croisette – I mean, I timed it because I’m that kind of person – but you’re tucked away on this quieter side street that the tourists haven’t really discovered yet. The Palais des Festivals is right there too, which is clutch if you’re here during any of the events (though honestly, good luck finding anything available during the film festival). What I really loved is that you can duck into all the chaos of the main strip, then retreat back to rue Notre Dame where it’s actually peaceful enough to sleep. The morning bakery runs are dangerous though – there’s this little boulangerie about thirty seconds away that’ll ruin your diet plans.
The apartment itself feels more like staying at a well-organized friend’s place than a typical hotel room. Everything’s clean and functional without being sterile, you know? The bed’s comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up cursing my life choices, and there’s actual space to spread out your stuff – something you definitely can’t take for granted in this part of France where closet-sized rooms go for ridiculous money. I particularly appreciated having a proper kitchenette because eating out for every meal in Cannes will bankrupt you faster than you think. The wifi worked fine for video calls back home, though I’ll admit I wasn’t exactly stress-testing it with heavy streaming or anything. One small thing – the street can get a bit lively on weekend nights, but nothing a pair of earplugs can’t handle, and honestly it just feels like you’re part of the neighborhood rather than hidden away in some tourist bubble.
What really sold me on this place is how it strikes that sweet spot between being accessible to everything you want to do but not being overwhelmed by it. You can walk to the beach, the shopping, the restaurants, all that classic Cannes stuff, but when you come back at the end of the day it feels like you have your own little corner of the city. The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it absolutely nails what it is trying to be. For the price point and the location, especially if you’re planning to actually explore rather than just camp out by a hotel pool, this is the kind of find that makes you feel a bit smug about your travel planning skills.
To book a hotel in Cannes during the famous Cannes Film Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts celebrities and film industry professionals from around the world.

Séjour réussi – Francoise from France – 26 August 2022 (8/10)
Superb – Sabina from Cyprus – 20 September 2023 (9/10)
