Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of Cannes apartments over the years, and Felix honestly surprised me – in the best way possible. When you’re walking down Cours Felix Faure (which, by the way, is this lovely tree-lined street that most tourists completely miss), you might wonder if you’re in the right spot. But trust me, you are. The building has that classic French charm without being stuffy, and once you get up to the apartment… well, that’s when you realize why this place has a 9 rating.

The terrace is what really got me. I mean, you hear “sea view” thrown around constantly in Cannes – half the time it means you can glimpse a sliver of blue if you crane your neck just right. But Felix actually delivers. I spent my first morning out there with coffee, watching the Med stretch out toward the horizon, and you know what? I could hear the market setting up on Forville just a few blocks away. That’s the thing about this location – you’re literally in the heart of Cannes City-Centre, but somehow it doesn’t feel chaotic. The apartment itself is spacious enough that you don’t feel like you’re living out of a suitcase, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re staying more than a couple nights.

What I really appreciated – and this might sound minor but it’s not – is that the whole place feels lived-in rather than sterile. The furnishings are comfortable (I’m talking about that couch situation, which actually matters when you want to relax after walking the Croisette all day), and there’s proper storage space. Plus, you’re maybe five minutes from Rue d’Antibes if you need to grab groceries or want to do some shopping, and the train station is close enough that day trips to Nice or Monaco are totally doable. I did notice some street noise in the evenings – nothing terrible, just the usual sounds of people enjoying themselves – but honestly, that’s Cannes for you. If you want absolute silence, you probably shouldn’t be staying in the city center anyway. The 3-star rating might make you think this is just another decent apartment, but I’d argue it punches above its weight. For the price point and location, Felix gives you that authentic French living experience without the tourist trap feel you get closer to the Palais des Festivals.
