But this three-bedroom spot on Rue de la Verrerie turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you actually know Cannes instead of just visiting it.

The location is what really got me. You’re tucked away in this quiet residential street that most tourists never find, but here’s the thing – you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Palais des Festivals (you know, where they do the film festival), and the beaches are close enough that you can actually hear the waves if you open the windows at night. I mean, you’re not beachfront, but honestly? That’s better. You avoid all the noise and inflated prices of the Croisette, but you can still be sipping rosé on the sand in under ten minutes. The Marché Forville is right around the corner too, which is perfect if you actually want to cook something instead of eating out every meal – the kitchen here is surprisingly well-equipped for a rental.

What I really appreciated was how the place feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile vacation rental. The three bedrooms are all decent sizes (the master actually fits more than just a bed, imagine that), and there’s this lived-in comfort that you don’t usually get in hotel rooms. The 8.4 rating makes sense when you’re there – it’s not luxury, but everything works, it’s clean, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes. Parking was honestly easier than I expected for Cannes, though I’d still recommend walking everywhere you can because, you know, it’s Cannes and the people-watching is half the fun. The building itself is typically French – a bit creaky, thick walls that keep things cool, and you’ll probably run into Madame from downstairs who’ll give you the local gossip if your French is up to it. During festival season this area gets busy but not insane, and in the quieter months it’s actually pretty peaceful. One small thing – the shower pressure could be better, but honestly, after a day of beach and exploring, you’re probably too tired to care much about that kind of detail.

  Everything was great. The property owner was always very friendly and helpful. The house is comfortable and had everything we needed. Location was absolutely perfect, 10 min away from the center of Cannes!

  Tout était parfait……la propriétaire est toujours à l'écoute , l'appartement est très beau avec une magnifique vue sur l'église et une vue latérale sur la mer. Le bien est situé en plein centre de la Bocca, quartier très commerçant…avec une belle place du marché…je recommande vivement pour couples avec enfants…en tous cas les miens veulent y revenir.

  L'appartement est bien situé, il est très calme le soir. Nous avons été bien accueilli et l'hote a été très réactive quand il a fallut changer une ampoule.
