Honestly, when I first walked into this three-bedroom apartment on Rue du Général Ferrié, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, you know how rental photos can be deceiving. But this place actually surprised me in the best way. The location is what really gets you first – you’re literally in the heart of Cannes, like proper center, not some “close to downtown” nonsense that turns out to be a 20-minute trek. I’m talking about being able to walk to the Palais des Festivals in maybe eight minutes, and the beach? Well, you can practically smell the Mediterranean from the windows.

What struck me most was how it manages to feel both local and polished at the same time. The building itself has that classic French charm – you know, the kind with those heavy wooden doors and marble entry halls that make you feel like you’re in a movie. Inside, the apartment is surprisingly spacious for Cannes standards, and I actually found myself using all three rooms, which doesn’t always happen in vacation rentals. The kitchen was better equipped than I expected too – not just the usual sad collection of mismatched plates and one dull knife. There’s something to be said for being able to grab fresh ingredients from the morning market on Rue Meynardier (it’s literally around the corner) and actually cook them properly.

The street itself is pretty quiet considering where you are, though you’ll definitely hear some nightlife on weekends – but honestly, that’s part of the charm of staying in the real Cannes rather than some sterile hotel. I loved being able to walk to dinner without planning transportation, and you’re close enough to everything that matters. The Croisette is right there when you want to people-watch and pretend you’re important, but you can also duck into the quieter old town streets when the tourist crowds get overwhelming. Parking can be a bit of a challenge – I mean, it’s central Cannes, so that’s just reality – but there are a few public options nearby if you’re driving. The check-in was smooth, no weird key pickup locations or complicated instructions. Look, the perfect 10 rating makes more sense once you stay here – it’s not trying to be fancy for fancy’s sake, it just nails the basics really well while giving you that authentic Cannes experience without the hotel markup.
