Renovated 2 bedrooms – Boulevard de la Croisette
You know what caught me off guard about this place? It’s actually right on the Boulevard de la Croisette – I mean, THE Croisette – but it doesn’t feel like one of those stuffy, overpriced spots that usually line this stretch. I walked past it twice before realizing this was it, tucked on the first floor of number 61, which honestly works in your favor because you get all the location benefits without the street-level chaos.
The apartment itself has that lived-in charm that comes from a thoughtful renovation. Two proper bedrooms, which is rare for Cannes properties that aren’t astronomically priced. The windows face the boulevard, so you’ll hear the morning bustle – delivery trucks around 7 AM, the occasional late-night revelers during festival season – but it settles down nicely by mid-morning. I actually found the sounds kind of comforting, like the city’s heartbeat. The kitchen’s small but functional (they usually are in these old Cannes buildings), and there’s enough space to make proper coffee and pastries from the boulangerie just down at rue d’Antibes. Speaking of which, that little side street parallel to the Croisette is where locals actually shop – much better prices than the tourist traps.
What really sold me on the location is that you’re literally a three-minute walk to Plage du Martinez, but – and this is key – you can also easily slip away from the madness. Head inland just two blocks and you’re in actual residential Cannes, where people hang laundry on balconies and argue about football at the corner café. The 7.1 rating feels about right, honestly. It’s not luxury (the bathroom could use updating, and don’t expect hotel-style daily service), but it’s authentic and comfortable. During Cannes Film Festival or the summer peak, this location would cost triple elsewhere, so the value proposition actually makes sense. I’d definitely recommend it for people who want to be in the thick of things but still have a real place to retreat to – plus having two bedrooms means you can actually spread out instead of living on top of each other like most Cannes accommodations force you to do.
